“Learning and Relaxing” – The new motorboat and saling school & rental “Sportbootschule Elba” offers courses and boat rental for beginners and experienced motorboat and Hobie Cat sailing fans. Located at the Canping Enfola Resort it gives you one more opportunity to enjoy your holiday on the Elba Island.



Motorboat-Cruising Practical Courses

Take some driving lessons in order to prepare for the official (German) motorboat driving licence “Sportbootführerschein Binnen/See” (Certificate of Competence suitable for driving motorboats with more than 5 HP, which unifies signs and standardises navigational procedures on the European Inland and Costal Waterway system).
The instruction Courses concentrate on pilotage, boat handling, seamanship and navigation.

'Beautiful Day' Motorboat Trip alternatively with/without skipper/instruction guide
Just rent our attractive boat for a trip through the marvellous coastline and beaches of the island of Elba. The quiet bay of Enfola makes it an ideal location to take a cruise on the motorboat, which is disposed for 5 persons. Untrained persons will be accompanied by our professional skipper. Those already very familiar with basic navigation and competent boat handlers are allowed to rent the boat without skipper.
Life Jackets will be supplied.



Catamaran Sailing

Catamarans are the genuine Formula I of the sea, sailing and surfing the waves without any noise other than the wind and the water is an unforgettable experience.
Our center in Enfola offers you a Hobie Cat Catamaran of 16 feet. You can go sail with one of our instructors or rent a catamaran on your own if you already have experience.
For those wishing to learn or improve our school offers catamaran practical and theory courses of different levels and duration. Those courses are done on the Hobie Cat '16.
We supply harnesses, life jackets and neoprene’s.

General information:
German Certificate of Competence “Sportbootführerschein See/Binnen”

The official nautical certificates “Sportbootführerschein See/Binnen”, entitle the holder of these licences to operate any motor equipped yacht on the water ways for seagoing vessels and on the costal waters (See) as well as on inland waters.
German applicants have to accomplish the following conditions:
    • Minimum age: 16 years (approval of the legal representative)
    • Copy of driving licence or clearance certificate
    • Doctor´s certificate to hearing and vision
    • Application Form (available at the school)



Formation:
Sportbootschule-Elba

offers a high-qualified formation to the official German nautic certificates “Sportbootführerschein See/Binnen”. The course is a mix of theory and practical sessions. The aim of this course is to teach boat handling, seamanship and pilotage to the standards required to drive a motorboat (> 5 H.P.) safely by day and night in coastal waters (See) and inland waters (Binnen). Practical instruction on our new motorboat Drago Fiesta 540 with 40 H.P. outboard motor. The German exam will be taken at our German partner school Sportbootschule Schondorf on the beautiful “Ammersee”, one of the most famous lakes in Upper Bavaria. All formalities regarding the exam will be handled for you by us.
